Research Support from Foundations and Corporations
On February 21st, representatives from the University's Offices of Foundation and Corporate Relations and senior faculty members from the PSD provided an introduction to the private organizations that fund academic research. They discussed the major programs that exist, especially for post-docs and junior faculty, how the rationale for funding differs from the NSF/NIH systems, how the application or nomination process works, and campus resources to help you get started.
